The Godox GM6S 5.5″ 4K HDMI Touchscreen Ultrabright is yet another small-sized on-camera monitor. It seems like so many companies are now starting to branch out and sell products they haven’t previously offered.
In saying that Godox, has made a monitor before, but they are more known for their lighting fixtures. The affordable on-camera monitor space is already super crowded and the GM6S will face very stiff competition. 10 Point Capacitive Touch Screen
The Godox GM6S On-Camera Monitor features a 5.5″ 1920×1080 IPS touchscreen with a claimed brightness of 1200 cd/m².
The monitor has an HDMI input and output that both support 4K DCI and UHD signals. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack and you can load up to twenty-five 3D LUTS using the SD card slot.
A separately available camera control interface allows users to communicate settings to the camera from the monitor.
The monitor can be powered via a single L-series battery, DC input, or USB Type-C port. The GM6S also has a DC output port to supply 7.8V of power to additional accessories. Included with the monitor are a sun hood and a cold shoe mount that attaches to any of the three 1/4″-20 threads.
Multiple function buttons can be configured to toggle between different settings and image monitoring tools.
